Image
Just one week into the vacation, and me and sister were bored to death. Moreover my plans of solo outing were foiled… Soon came Friday 9 th , my mother’s first cousin was visiting us with her family.. Casually mausaji happened to mention his plan to visit Matheran the next day, and asked us if we wanted to join. We were delighted and accepted their kind offer. And soon we were packing our bags and getting ready for the trip. Matheran is a hill station near to Neral, I had last went there in 2007 with my cousin’s family. On 10 th we left home heading to Matheran by our car. I acted as the navigator (Google Maps!). Picnic Spot We drove the way well, then came the Traffic on Neral- Matheran Road. As we proceeded further, we discovered this was due to a naka bandi by The Municipal and The Police, apparently there was no parking space at the Dasturi Naka and they advised us to park at a place nearby and take a taxi which took ₹ 80 per head to reach Matheran. We smelled sc...

A Mrozen Fystery~~

Image
Live toads and frogs closed inside a stone, blobs pouring down from the sky, Lake disappearing and appearing? What’s happening? They might be called hoaxes and unexplained reality but I call them unsolved mysteries. Greetings Everyone! It's the mystery maniac!  I am going to present a case which is grotesque and bizarre, shocking and magical in it's own way. Indeed a mystery unsolved . '' At worst, I might lose a couple of toes '' she says. '' I can’t explain why she's alive '' Dr. George Sather, who helped treat the young woman, said. '' She was frozen stiff, literally . It's a miracle. ''                                           Seriously, nature does perform astonishing feats! Jean Hilliard was an attractive 19-year-old resident of Lengby, Minnesota and perhaps was one of the luckiest people on earth.  On 21 of December 1981 , a viciously cold morni...

Buried Alive!

Image
Man Buried Alive, Antoine Wiertz Darkness! It started with darkness and silence. Silence punctuated only by the sound of shuddering breath.  Movement was painfully stiff, muscle screamed as he tried to sit up but something solid prevented him.  Fumbling blindly he tried to paint a picture of his surroundings with his hands, his fingertips brushed against the rough wood imprisoning him.  A box?  No a coffin!  Greetings Everyone!  Ever heard of getting buried alive? Sounds scary right??  So what would have happened of Marjorie Halcrow Erskine of Scotland who was indeed buried alive in a shallow grave by a sexton, who intended on returning later to steal her jewelry? Well, when he tried to cut off her finger to snatch a ring, she awoke.  What a nice warm, ahem I mean, chilling experience for the sexton though. By the way, the poor guy died instantly from fright, talk about 'godspeed'.(pun intended!) Let’s see another case,...
